Inclement Weather Protocol

The safety of our Staff, Volunteers and Patients is a priority at Samaritan Health Ministries.  This inclement weather policy outlines how SHM will handle notification to everyone.

Should inclement weather occur,  SHM Executive Director and Leadership Team will follow the Leander ISD school closures.

Upon determination that our medical clinic will be closed all efforts will be made to notify everyone properly. You can visit the LISD district website where they post inclement school closure announcements on the district’s Alerts page. Plus, we will post an announcement on Facebook, send text messages and emails to Staff, Volunteers and Patients. That’s one reason we always need up-to-date contact information.

We know that when we delay or close SHM completely it has a significant impact on patients. The concern for Staff, Volunteers and Patients safety always serves as the main driver when these decisions are made, and we always strive to err on the side of caution.
